beyond this land is a photographic series from a maiden visit in the island of Kythera – a place of particular significance for the practice of R.C.TECH. The sequence of images careens between landscape and architecture, between exploring and permanence, between contemporary and old, between visible and unseen.
The land of Kythera has an impressively austere and raw form that combines geomorphological wealth and physical simplicity. In beyond this land there is the concept of location you stand, human interventions and endless horizons. Following a back-and-forth route between the south and north, trying to survey the island with images as encountered - almost naked of human beings but full of interesting signs of new and past life.
