The medieval settlement of Borgo Serato (Mesa Vourgo) and its wall surrounds the northern part of the Venetian castle of Chora in Kythera. The settlement is practically an open archaeological site with old houses and numerous Christian orthodox temples (privato) belonging to families of the island. This small residential complex of two houses in the area, was restored. Features such as thick stone walls, small openings and different roof levels compose the geometry of the two houses; a familiar arrangement to the local architecture.
